When Was The Last Time You Unplugged?

When was the last time you unplugged?

We live in a world where everyone is constantly connected, where electronic alerts interrupt us multiple times each hour, and where there never seems to be enough time in the day. However, you can create more time in the day by scheduling unplugged blocks of time daily. The positive effects will be immediate!

Turn Everything Off

Even if only for 1 or 2 hours, turn off everything. This includes your smartphone, computers, and all electronic communication devices. Even if you leave your TV or radio on, or watch a movie on your computer, make sure that all electronic communication alerts are disabled. Bonus points if you unplug for an entire day.

Unplugged For Both Work Or Play

Unplugging is beneficial for both work and play. Unplug at work, and see your productivity increase by as much as 40 percent! Unplug while at home or hanging out with friends and family and enjoy some much-needed quality time. Return to work the next day feeling refreshed and with increased clarity and focus.

It may take a few attempts before you can unplug for your scheduled block of time, without fretting over your electronic alerts. However, push through the initial discomfort, and it will feel like you have more time in each day than while fully connected.
