Now Take A Peak At Your Calendar

Now that you have defined what matters most, take a look at your calendar for the past 30 days—and for the next 30 days. Do your commitments accurately reflect your priorities?

Edit Your Schedule

While you certainly don’t want to cancel on your commitments, now is the time to edit your schedule. Eliminate the items that you can back out of with enough advanced notice, and replace them with your true passions and priorities.

Identify Some New Activities

Before you start adding things to your new schedule, identify some new priority-matching activities. Join a few meetup groups, signup for a new class, or plan some fun outings with your friends and family.

Set A Reminder To Check Back In A Few Months

It will take at least a few weeks to get into the new swing of things. However, the chaos of life can make it difficult to maintain your commitment to your true priorities. For this reason, you must schedule an automated reminder to repeat this process at least every 3 or 4 months.

While you’re at it, encourage the entire family to do the same!
