Could You Unplug For A Bit Every Day

Would you believe me if I told you that you check your cell phone over 150 times per day? Most of us do so without second thought, and usage continues to do nothing but increase. As productive as you might think you are, odds are you can boost your productivity—and improve your overall peace of mind if you unplug more frequently. But could you unplug for a bit every day?

Just An Hour Or Two Will Do

If it sounds impossible to unplug every day, don’t worry—it doesn’t have to be for an extended period of time. The goal is to be strategic, and to set uninterrupted time each day to work, rest, or play.

The Times Could Be Consistent

I don’t know about you, but one of the first things I do when I wake up in the morning is pick up my phone. If you can go the first hour, or even the first 30 minutes, of your day without logging into email or social media—it is a much more relaxing way to ease into your day. Or maybe you turn your phone off at a set time at work each day or a set time when you get home at night.

It might sound impossible, but if you unplug for a bit every day you will feel less stressed and more productive.
