Need Some New At-Home Date Night Ideas?

    At-Home Date Night

Scheduling at least a few dates a month is an excellent way to keep your connection a priority. And you don’t always have to go out. However, your at-home date night must be more than a few hours set aside—but something you put some thought and effort into.

    1. Both of you must be 100% unplugged.
    2. Ask grandma or grandpa or other friends and family to babysit at their house. Or schedule your date after the kids head to bed.
    3. If you don’t enjoy cooking, order in or buy from your local deli.
    4. If you watch a movie or one of your favorite TV shows—do something to make it more than just a regular night at home. Pop popcorn, dim the lights, make a fire, and snuggle up together on the couch.
    5. Set the tone for romance: light candles, set the mood with music, run a bath or head out to the jacuzzi, buy some new massage oils, pour a glass of wine, or anything you or your other half find to be romantic.
    6. Don’t always schedule your at-home date night, and set up a surprise night of time together.
    7. Do something fun together—cook, bake, a DIY craft, game night, etc.
    8. Write your other half a love letter, or take a few minutes to share the little things you love most about them.
    9. No matter how much you have to do at home or work, be fully present.
    10. Talk about your dreams and goals, both personal, professional, and goals as a couple.

Not every date will be romantic, and that’s ok. The most important thing is that you spend quality time together as a couple.
