Natural Skincare Products—What Are You Really Putting On Your Skin?

Many adults have a fairly similar daily routine. You wake up, shower, brush your teeth, style your hair, and apply your preferred skin care and beauty products. Between your shower gel, body lotion, lip moisturizer, makeup, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, and hair care products—the average woman slathers over 186 chemicals on her skin each day, and the average man comes in at 86. However, with the growing options in natural skincare products, you don’t have to!

Natural Skincare Products

It used to be that finding natural skincare products made from organic, or primarily natural ingredients, was really difficult. When you could find a worthy alternative, they were often limited in the product range, had an overpowering essential oil aroma, and were expensive. However, with the growing demand for chemical-free alternatives, that is no longer the case!

Where To Find Chemical-Free Skincare

Chemical free skincare products can be found in just about any drug store, grocery store, or big box retailer. Marshals, Walgreens, CVS, Target, and Walmart, to name a few. However, you can also find a lot of organic and natural beauty brands online—on Amazon, Honest, Annmarie Gianni and even from global brands like Natural French Soap. You can even order organic beauty box subscriptions to test and try sample sizes.

As with all aspects of health and wellness, not everything has to be 100 percent. You are likely to still have at least a few products you prefer that aren’t all-natural—but aim to make the move to at least 90 percent, and greatly reduce the number of chemicals you slather on your skin and hair each day.
