We all have tummy troubles from time to time. As infrequent as they may be, they are certainly no fun. Here is how to address them head-on.
Don’t Eat It
If you know that something irritates your stomach, don’t eat it. If you simply can’t resist, like dairy or fried food, eat it in moderation.
Take A Simple Acidophilus
We hear a lot about probiotics and their role in digestion. However, heading to the vitamin isle to select a probiotic can be overwhelming—and expensive. Instead, select a simple acidophilus which you can find at Target, Walmart, or Walgreens for around $10. You may have to ask, because they often aren’t with the pricey probiotics. Take daily or as needed.
If you need to address tummy troubles quickly, you have a few different options to calm your stomach:
- Ginger ale or sparkling water
- Ginger tea
- 1T of apple cider vinegar in water
- Water with lemon or lime
- Carrot juice
Activated Charcoal Capsules Or Bentonite Clay
If you have come down with food poisoning, are worried about foods with heavy metals, or want to cleanse your intestinal track—activated charcoal capsules are the way to go. If you are only cleansing, consider bentonite clay. Take charcoal and bentonite clay individually, and as directed.
