When you finally have some time off from work, you might be tempted to plan every second. While you certainly want to make the most of your time off, here is why you shouldn’t plan every second of your next vacation.
You Deserve To Sleep In
Sleeping in is something that many of us only have the luxury of on rare occasion, making your vacation the perfect time to catch some extra shuteye. Or, your late nights out exploring the city may make sleeping in a necessity.
You Might Find Something Better
Another reason to leave some flexibility in your schedule is that you might find something else you want to add to your itinerary once you arrive. This could be a spot you walk past while roaming the city, somewhere a local suggests, or even to attend a festival or event you learn is going on while you are in town. Or maybe you make a friend while you are there and want to make time to hang with them.
The exception to this rule is if you are only taking a quick day or two away from the hustle and bustle. In that case, you may want to cram as much as you can into your 48 hours of fun. Otherwise, don’t plan every second of your next vacation and see what fun arises!
