The Fourth of July 2018 is almost here. This is the perfect time to celebrate our countries independence, gather with friends and family, and do something fun or meaningful to break the monotony of the daily grind. Here are some of the top picks.
Fireworks And Parades
If it’s legal in your state, setting off your own fireworks can be quite fun—and is often a neighborhood event. Just make sure you are safe and prepared. Also, look for fireworks displays the weekend before or on the day of. If not fireworks, you may be able to catch a local parade.
Barbeque Or Potluck
Barbeques and potlucks are an excellent way to celebrate on the 4th. Head to your local dollar store to stock up on red, white, and blue decorations. Potlucks are ideal as the holiday tends to draw larger crowds, so there is less work (and cost) for you. If you don’t host, accept an invitation, have a picnic with your family, or head to a community event.
There are many opportunities to volunteer: at the parade, the fireworks, community events, or to serve those who have served our country. If not on July 4th, your year-round giving back helps to keep the American Dream alive and well.
Have a happy and safe Fourth of July!
