I don’t know about you but as a child, Halloween was one of my favorite holidays. While I wasn’t really into the gore and scary part, I loved getting dressed up. Here are just a few reasons adults should celebrate Halloween too.
Getting Dressed Up Is Fun
If it’s been a while since you’ve donned a costume then you might not recall how much fun it is to get dressed up. It’s not just the costume part but it’s fun having an alter ego—if only for a day. And don’t stress about your costume. Buy a premade costume (which can be pricey) or get creative and head online for a DIY costume idea.
If you have kids or young family members, getting dressed up makes the holiday more fun for them too! Consider a family-themed costume, but any effort you make will create lasting family memories. Even if you are just the one answering the door for trick or treaters an adult in a costume is the cool neighbor.
If Not A Costume, Fall Fun Instead
If costumes aren’t your thing no worries. Instead, head out with your friends or family to enjoy some fun fall activities. From pumpkin patches to corn mazes, apple picking, haunted houses, and heading out for fresh apple cider and apple cider donuts. These activities also make for fun daytime dates. There are also plenty of fun fall arts and crafts to choose from.
No matter what time of year we must find time to incorporate more play and fun into our lives!
