We spend a lot of time contemplating our major life decisions but it’s often the tiny moments that have the greatest potential for connection, change, and opportunity. Here are a few ways not to miss your sliding door moments. 

Remain Present And Aware 

It can be easier said than done, particularly when doing the things we do every day—like riding the train to work. By remaining present and aware you remain open which invites engagement. It is a way to find joy in the little things in life and to ensure you don’t miss your sliding door moments.  

Go With The Flow 

The next time you are stuck in traffic, a friend cancels at the last minute, or you find yourself stressing about something specific—consider that this may be a sliding door moment. It’s likely the universe just trying to tell you that there is something else you should be giving your attention to. 

Trust Your Gut 

Some things are beyond logic or explanation which is why we must always trust our gut. Even when your gut is telling you to do something you usually wouldn’t, to abandon your plan, or to do something as seemingly inconsequential such as taking a different route home—do it, as it is taking you to where you are meant to be.  

The more you focus on your mini-moments, the bigger your life will be.
