Have you ever found yourself envious of travelers who can fit everything they need into a backpack or a carryon? With the tips below you can travel light too!
It’s All About The Bag
It all starts with finding the perfect weekender, suitcase, or backpack. It must be spacious yet have the compartments you require to keep things organized. If it doesn’t have wheels it must also be lightweight so that it doesn’t weigh you down walking through the airport.
Packing Cubes Are A Must
As an avid traveler I champion myself as a master packer who can fold and roll clothing in smart and efficient manner, but nothing beats packing cubes. They compress large items, keep your bag organized, and maximize even the smallest of spaces.
Layout Your Wardrobe
Overpacking is almost always due to bringing clothing you don’t wear, which makes it essential to layout your wardrobe ahead of time. Select items that don’t wrinkle too much, that can be mixed and matched, and if needed can be dressed up and down. Never skimp on essentials, like undergarments, but be mindful of bulky items like shoes. If possible, wear or carry on your jacket or heavy sweater.
With just a few small changes you can pack everything you need without being weighed down too much.
