We all want to be a good friend, family member, and life partner. With the goal of being there when those we love need us, and even when they don’t know they do, we must find thoughtful ways to let those we love know we care.
Send A Card
In the digital day and age, we live in receiving a letter or card in the mail feels extra special. So, the next time you are thinking of someone you love or want to do something special just because, write a letter or send a card to let them know you are thinking of them.
Take Something Off Their Plate
One of the greatest gifts you can give a loved one who feels stressed to the max is to take something off their plate. This could be something small like taking the kids to their extracurricular activity or finding a way to permanently remove a source of stress. For example, hiring someone to come in and clean once a week. Don’t count out asking specifically what would be helpful to your loved one, but be mindful that not everyone is comfortable asking for help.
Do Something Fun Together
Creating new memories with those we love is what makes life worth living. Once or twice a year schedule something out of the ordinary together. This could be going to a concert or show, doing a color run, taking a day trip or vacation together, or going to watch an inspirational speaker. Whatever it is make sure it is something you will both enjoy!
With just a little extra time and effort we can create memories that will last a lifetime.
