We live in a competitive world where being busy and doing it all is a badge of honor. While there are times when the bulk of things, or all things, may fall on your shoulders—you don’t have to do it all, and it’s ok to ask for help.

People Want To Help

Your nearest and dearest don’t just want to help, they are eager to help. So, when they offer—say YES! If they haven’t offered, ask. Even if it’s freeing up an hour here or there it makes a difference.

Hire Help

When I was single working a corporate job 10+ hours a day, 6 and 7 days a week I really wanted to hire a weekly housekeeper. But I never did out of guilt and embarrassment. I was just one person, shouldn’t I be able to keep up? Whether you are single, married, have kids, or not,—there’s no need to feel guilty about hiring the help you require. If it will make your life easier and less stressful, it’s worth every penny.

You Deserve More Joy

You can’t be Super Man or Wonder Woman in all areas of your life. So, delegate what you don’t like, don’t have time for, or that doesn’t need to be done by you. This will give you the time you need to do what you do best without rushing through. It will also leave time to schedule in more activities that bring you joy!

If you have to take baby steps, but whatever you do ask for help when you need it.
