If you are not a morning person but want to be these tips will help.
Work Out In The AM
Bare with me here. Unless you work from home and can shift your schedule back a bit, this tip will require you to get up a bit earlier than you already do. But, waking up earlier will boost your energy making you feel super energized. Even a short 15 minute app exercise will do. The key is to have your workout be the first thing you do when you wake up, as in before getting the kids ready for school.
Switch To A Light Alarm
Make the move to an alarm clock that mimics the sun, gradually waking you up as it gets brighter. This eases you into your day but also makes waking up feel more natural and less jarring. This tip won’t work if you sleep with an eye mask. At the very least ditch the smartphone alarm clock.
Go To Bed Earlier
The average person needs between 7 and 9 hours of sleep, so if you aren’t getting at least that much it’s time to start going to bed a bit earlier. For best results set a sleep schedule where you go to bed and get up at the same time every day. If you toss and turn when you go to bed start a PM wind-down routine that includes no screen time 2 hours before bed.
Here’s to your new morning routine!
