Creating A Wellness Area In Your Home

Creating A Wellness Area In Your Home

If you have a spare room in your home or space in your attic or basement you can create a comfortable wellness area. However, many of us don’t have a lot of room to spare—but that doesn’t mean you can’t create a place to relax and recharge.

A Cozy Corner

If space is tight create a cozy corner where you can unwind. This might be a place you pop a recliner so that you can kick back and read or maybe a mini alter that you can face while you meditate. Depending on your wellness goals your space should be either dim or have plenty of natural light.

A Touch Of Nature

The calming effects of natural elements are so powerful that plants are being prescribed as a solution to loneliness, depression, and anxiety. With just two plants per room, you can create a calmer and healthier space. In addition to plants also consider adding a water element, landscape photography, fresh or dried flowers, raw wood, metal accents, woven textiles, or any natural décor.

Aromatherapy

Scent can calm, uplift, soothe, and set the mood. The key is in finding naturally-derived scents such as pure essential oils from Aura Cacia. Select your scents by the goal you want to achieve or look for custom blends designed to help achieve your goals. I enjoy using plug-in oil diffusers as well as essential oil room sprays. You can also find soy candles made with essential oils. The great thing about essential oils is that the bottles are small, meaning you can bring them with you.

Here’s to creating a home that is a safe place to escape stress and worry!
