Is It Time For A New Job?

Is It Time For A New Job

We never want to be hasty when it comes to our livelihood but we must not remain stuck in a career or at a company that is not a good fit. Here are a few signs it’s time for a new job.

You Never Look Forward To Going To Work

If you wake each day dreading going to work or have a weekly case of the Sunday blues, it’s time to consider what is not working about your current job. Your reason doesn’t have to be a major red flag like a toxic workplace but could be due to outgrowing your current position. If you never or rarely look forward to going to work it’s time to identify why not.

You Daydream About Doing Something Else

If you daydream about another line of work, what is stopping you from giving it a go? For example, if you work as an accountant but find yourself daydreaming about interior design—find an online interior design course and pursue your dream.

You Aren’t Challenged

If you aren’t challenged at work it doesn’t mean you need to find a new company, but explore more internal opportunities for advancement. Determine what it is you might like to take on and discuss it with your manager or human resources department.

We spend most of our waking hours at work so you deserve to look forward to each day ahead!
