Your quality of life is not to be mistaken for your income or stature, but instead references the joy you get out of each day. Here are a few ways you can boost your joy.

Connect

We live in a world where we are digitally distracted spending less and less face time with friends and family. Although constantly connected through electronic communication methods we must prioritize spending time with people in real life. This goes beyond the generic exchanges we have with our barista, clients, and colleagues to time we walk away from feeling engaged, joyful, and inspired. Aka—time spent with those you feel obligated to but don’t enjoy spending time with doesn’t count.

Balance And Unwind

Speaking of being constantly connected we need to spend more time unplugged and engaging in relaxing activities. This could be time spent in nature, doing yoga, meditation, taking a bath, doing a hobby that motivates or inspires you, or any time for self-care. This downtime we spend is essential for balance and can be optimized by inviting a friend or loved one.

Challenge Yourself

Your quality of life can begin to feel compromised when your days become too monotonous. This means it’s time to challenge yourself. Challenges don’t have to be major to have a positive impact. It could be as simple as trying a new hobby, taking an online course, or finally crossing a few things off your Bucket List.
