Whether it’s a specific goal or completing your daily tasks it is sometimes challenging to get and stay motivated. These tips will help.
Get The Tough Things Out Of The Way First
When we put the thing we want to do last on our to-do list we spend the entire day in dread and procrastination. By completing the task we dread first there is a greater sense of accomplishment once it’s complete that will power you through your day.
If you are stuck in a rut where you aren’t motivated to do much of anything reward yourself for completing your tasks for the day. Rewards can be small, such as spending two hours binge watching your favorite series when you are done or ordering in from your favorite restaurant.
Get Up Earlier
I find that if I’m really struggling to stay motivated, I get up earlier. I wake, don’t check my emails—and get straight to it. Whether it’s 30 minutes or a full hour, by the time I would usually wake for the day I feel amazing as I’ve already started chipping away at things.
Last but not least, don’t beat yourself up if you have an unproductive day—just start fresh tomorrow.
