Should You Switch To A Silicone Face Brush?

Switch To A Silicone Face Brush

You can wash your face with your hands for free, a washcloth on the cheap, or with a variety of facial cleansing tools at every price point. Here are a few reasons you may want to consider switching to a silicone face brush.

A Hygienic Deep Clean

Deep cleaning is the top reason to consider any type of face brush, but bristled brushes are porous meaning that over time they will become a breeding ground for bacteria. Some bristled brushes have replaceable heads so be sure to switch them out every 3 or 4 months.

Gentle Exfoliation

Silicone is super soft meaning it will deep clean and exfoliate without irritating your skin. Even if you have sensitive skin, you should be able to cleanse with silicone. I like to use my silicone brush with organic olive or coconut oil as part of my green anti-aging regimen.

Speaking of anti-aging, look for a waterproof brush that gently vibrates. The vibration doesn’t just improve cleansing properties, but helps to tone your facial muscles, improve circulation, and naturally stimulate collagen production.

And your new brush won’t break the bank. Non-electric varieties start as low as $5, and electric options are an average of $40.
