Whether you’ve put on a bit of weight or your breasts are naturally large, the weight of your breasts can lead to severe back, neck, and shoulder pain. Breast reduction surgery may help, but you may be able to reduce your breast size without surgery.
Upgrade Your Bras
Not only should you shop for minimizing bras, but the larger your breasts the more you must invest in your bras. With the right full-sized bra, you can lighten the weight strain and make your breasts appear smaller without painfully smooshing them. This often means thick straps, a fuller back, and maybe a front closure instead of back clasps.
Shed The Excess Weight
If your larger breasts are due to weight gain, hire a nutritionist and physical trainer to shed your excess pounds. This will include doing targeted pectoral, back, and shoulder exercises, but your breasts are often the last place you lose weight, so full-body toning and weight loss are essential.
Tight or unhealthy fascia may be trapping pockets of fatty tissue in your breasts, so consider daily breast massages. Apply coconut oil and gently massage in a circular motion for 10 minutes per day. If you are comfortable, you may also be able to find a massage therapist who specializes in myofascial release, not just in your pectoral muscles, but your back, neck, shoulders, and even the sides of your body.
Also, focus on posture exercises and invest in a posture trainer and office ergonomics, as improving your posture can minimize your breast-related pain.
