House Cleaning Hacks For Your Kitchen

House Cleaning Hacks For Your Kitchen

Cleaning your oven, microwave, and dishwasher can be a daunting task but these cleaning hacks for your kitchen will help.

    Easy Clean Microwave

Pop a microwave safe cup filled with water into your microwave and set the timer for 3 to 5 minutes. This will steam your microwave making it easier to clean. If there’s lots of grease add an ounce or so of vinegar to the water. Invest in a few microwave plate and bowl covers to minimize the frequency of deep cleaning.

    Steaming Your Oven

If your oven doesn´t have a self-cleaning system built-in, or you need to do a deep clean—steam will help here too. Grab an oven-safe pot, fill it with water and place it in your oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. This will soften things up to clean once your oven cools. Another hack is to purchase a few BBQ grill mats to line the bottom of your oven where spills are most likely. Just wash them when soiled and pop back in your oven. You can also line the bottom of your oven with aluminum foil.

    Sanitizing Your Dishwasher

Be sure to check the water wands in your dishwasher for hard water and remove and soak in CRL as needed. To sanitize from the inside out, place a bowl of 2 parts vinegar, 1 part water in your empty dishwasher and run on a full cycle.

These kitchen cleaning hacks aren’t just easy they are all green!
